As of 2016, there were 96 universities in Canada both in English and French languages. Universities that are taught in French are mostly located in the province of Quebec or New Brunswick and English-speaking universities are located all within Canada. Located in the city of Sherbrooke, province of Quebec and It’s around one and a half hour drive from Montreal.
If you would like to study in a university, you need to apply a year in advance so you can be 100 sure that you’re going to get admitted to the desired university. Therefore, what do you need to study in Bishop’s University first of all is your high school diploma. Secondly, you need IELTS band of 6.5 no less than 6.0.

7. Victoria Island University
Located in the beautiful city of Nanaimo, British Columbia. It is close to the city Vancouver, so if you want to live in British Columbia and enjoy the ocean the mountains but you don’t want to spend lots of money in Vancouver you can actually go study in this university, live in a smaller city and save a lot of money at least on housing.
Vancouver Island University accepts both IELTS and Duolingo English tests. For the Duolingo English test, they request for a score 110, but they only accept this test for the following two terms which are September and then spring. This is an exception because of the pandemic, as a lot of students couldn’t take the IELTS or TOEFL. Therefore, some colleges and universities give this option to the students.

Located in the beautiful city of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Cape Breton university asks for Duolingo English tests score of no less than 115 and IELTS band of 6.5 and no less than 6.0.

Located in the province of British Columbia in the city called Kamloops. The university requires Duolingo English test score of 110 and up. IELTS band of 6.5, no less than 6.0 The deadlines for admission are May 1st for the Fall intake and October 1st for the winter intake.

4. University of New Brunswick
University of New Brunswick two campuses; one in Fredericton, New Brunswick’s capital, and the other in Saint John, New Brunswick’s largest city. Unfortunately, UNB doesn’t accept Duolingo English test. IELTS band of 6.5, no less than 6.0. The deadlines are March 1st for the fall admission.

Located in the city of Edmonton, province of Alberta. The university doesn’t accept the Duolingo tests. However, they accept IELTS and the score is 6.0, no less than 5.5. In case your IELTS score is not so great, but you still want to study in Canada and not spend a lot of money, this is your perfect option. Admission deadlines are March 1st and October 1st
